The Brattleboro Bears softball team celebrated a promising victory against Rutland, securing a 17-5 win and showcasing their potential for the season. Led by standout performances from freshmen Hannah Squires and Alyssa Jones, who scored a combined seven runs, the team's resilience shines through despite earlier setbacks. As they prepare for upcoming challenges, Coach Erin Cooke emphasizes the importance of teamwork and maintaining a positive mindset, setting the stage for a competitive season ahead!

In a spirited season opener, the Brattleboro Bears ultimate team faced off against Burr & Burton, ultimately falling 15-5. Despite a challenging start, the Bears showed resilience in the second half, with seniors Riley Bristol and Elijah Cummings each scoring two goals, and junior Levi Green contributing three assists. Coach Nathan Blunk commended the team’s determination and improvement, setting a positive tone as they prepare for their next match against Leland & Gray this Saturday.

Brattleboro Bears are celebrating the impressive achievements of local freestyle skier Eli Depue, who recently secured a third-place finish in Halfpipe at the USASA National Championships in Colorado. At just 14 years old, Eli's dedication has led to a Top 5 overall finish and sweeping the Southern Vermont regional titles in Slopestyle, Rail Jam, and Halfpipe this season. His journey from the Brattleboro Ski Hill's Learn-to-Ski program to national success exemplifies the talent and determination of our young athletes.

For the first time since 2017, fans filled the stands at Tenney Field for the Brattleboro Bears' home opener against Mount Anthony on April 14, 2026. This highly anticipated event followed renovations funded by a $450,000 capital plan approved by voters, ensuring a more accessible and enjoyable experience for all. Stay tuned as the Bears continue their season, striving for success on their newly renovated home turf!
