Fields of Pride

Transforming our athletic facilities into a true celebration of community, business, and Brattleboro student-athletes.

The BUHS Sports Banner Program is the flagship community partnership of the Athletic Booster Club. We are inviting local businesses to sponsor high-quality, professionally designed banners displayed at key athletic facilities across campus. Your banner showcases your business while demonstrating your support for BUHS student-athletes and school spirit.

Across our campus, 202 fence sections span five athletic facilities. To maintain a clean, professional appearance, 117 sponsorship slots are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Sponsorships are offered annually with recurring billing — no manual renewals, no hassle.

  • Typography: School display fonts are used for program text; sponsor branding is preserved in the logo area

The Digital Workflow (Behind the Scenes)

The entire sponsorship process — from application to invoice — is designed to run with minimal manual effort from our volunteer team:

  1. Sponsor Application: Businesses complete a secure digital intake form that captures their tier selection, preferred facility zone, contact information, and logo file upload. This eliminates back-and-forth emails.
  2. Auto-Generated Mockup: Once submitted, the system automatically generates a banner preview using the sponsor’s logo overlaid on our approved template. The sponsor receives this by email for review.
  3. Boosters Review & Approval: The board reviews each application for content appropriateness, placement availability, and tier selection. If there’s an issue, the team follows up directly before proceeding.
  4. Invoicing & Recurring Billing: After approval, an automated invoice is generated and sent to the sponsor. Annual recurring billing means no one has to track renewal dates manually.

The only human touchpoint is the review step — which is exactly where board judgment matters most.

Maintenance, Inspection & Lifecycle
  • Bi-Annual Inspections: All banners are inspected every Spring and Fall for wear, fading, and structural integrity
  • Storm Response: Post-storm checks within 48 hours of severe weather events
  • 3-Year Lifecycle: Banners are rated for approximately 3 years of outdoor exposure. At end of life, sponsors are contacted for replacement
  • Repair Reserve: A 5% maintenance fund (approximately $2,000-$3,000/year) is retained from banner revenue to cover immediate replacements and repairs
  • Coordinate with Print Shop: All repairs and replacements are handled through our approved vendor partners
Governance, Policy & School Approval
  • Content Guidelines: All banner content must be reviewed and approved by the Boosters board for alignment with school values and community standards
  • School District Coordination: Banner placements require coordination with BUHS Administration and the Activities Director
  • Campus Integrity: The Boosters maintain final authority over placement locations to ensure a clean, uniform appearance across all facilities
  • Non-Discrimination: Sponsorship is open to all local businesses. The Boosters reserve the right to decline content that conflicts with school policy
Frequently Asked Questions

How long does a banner last?

Approximately 3 years with normal outdoor exposure. UV-resistant inks and mesh material ensure durability through Vermont weather.

Can I choose where my banner goes?

Yes! During the application process, you can select your preferred tier and section. Placement is subject to availability. Each tier corresponds to specific numbered sections on our facility map — see the zone details above for a full breakdown.

What file format do you need for my logo?

Vector formats (SVG, AI, EPS, or high-resolution PNG/PDF) work best. Our team will confirm if your file meets production requirements during the mockup stage.

Is this a one-time payment?

Sponsorships are annual. After your initial approval, the system handles automatic yearly invoicing — no action needed on your end to renew.

What if my banner gets damaged?

The Boosters maintain a repair reserve fund for exactly this situation. Damaged banners are assessed and replaced as needed at no cost to the sponsor.

Is my sponsorship tax-deductible?

The BUHS Athletic Booster Club is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Sponsorship payments may be tax-deductible as a charitable contribution. Please consult your tax advisor.
